Our traditional Rosh Hashana services include beautiful melodies, insights into some prayers, and Hebrew/English prayer books. All services will be taking place in CMU’s University Center, a short walk from Pitt’s campus.

You are welcome to join us for a pre-fast meal, break-the-fast meal, as well as services (held on CMU’s campus, in their University center, and free for/open to all students). Our traditional Yom Kippur services include beautiful melodies, insights into some prayers, and Hebrew/English prayer books.

Semester Highlight: Speaker Shabbaton

Suly Chenkin, Holocaust Survivor “A Walking Miracle”
Suly Chenkin will be traveling to speak in Pittsburgh at the end of March, joining us right on campus on Friday, March 30 in the O’Hara Student Center Dining Room.  (The evening will include Shabbat dinner and her guest lecture.)
Join us to hear the miraculous story of Chenkin’s escape from Nazi-occupied Poland as a very young child, and later reunification with surviving family members.

Tu B’shvat–Mystical Seder
Celebrate the Jewish New Year for the trees with mystical insights and
culinary delights. Enjoy a great abundance of fruit & chocolate fondue!

Hamentashen Baking and Pre-Purim!
Purim will be over Pitt’s Spring break (Wed.-Thurs. March 7-8), but join us for Pre-Purim hamentashen baking and more to get in the mood!
Passover
“Come home to Chabad House” for the holidays. We offer Passover Seders open to all students (April 6 & 7), plus holiday and Shabbat meals throughout the week of Passover.

Chabad House is at 4710 Wallingford St., Pittsburgh, PA, 15213. If walking from Pitt’s campus, Bigelow Blvd turns into Bayard St., and continue on Bayard to North Neville. Turn left on North Neville, and turn right on Wallingford. Chabad House is the first house on the right.
